Minnesota
Scots is a collaboration of Minnesotans who are Scottish by birth, by
heritage or by inclination working together to celebrate and promote
our heritage, culture and history through highlighting the local
Scottish organizations, businesses and events in Minnesota in order to
build awareness and connections.

| 2012 Burns Night Suppers | Burns Night Suppers/Dinners are yearly celebrations of the life and
poetry of Scotland's Robert Burns. Every year around January 25th,
Scots the world over gathering for a night of great poetry, good food,
fine drink, and wry wit as we recall the immortal memory of Robert
Burns and the driving force in his life; the lassies. Minnesota
hosts no less than three different Burns Suppers this month. So take
the hand of your love, find the closest event, and come join the fun! |  |
 | St. Andrew's Burns Dinner
Invitations
will be going out soon for the St. Andrew's Burns Dinner to be held on
Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Fort Snelling Officer's Club. A
great dinner is planned, with some excellent entertainment from Gaelic
Tribe. Please join us. If you are not a member, you are
still invited and very welcome to attend. Information and a reservation

|  | TCSC 42nd Annual Burns Night Saturday, January 28, 2012, 5:00 pm
The
Twin Cities Scottish Club's 42nd Annual Burns Night Supper will be held
on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the Ramada Mall of America Airport
Hotel in Bloomington, MN. Come join the TCSC in the celebration of
Scotland's poet laureate Robert Burns' birthday, with Scottish food,
great friends, and exceptional entertainment including ceilidh dancing
with Gunn Slingers! Vendors Celtic Croft, Studio H Photography, and
more will also be on site for your shopping pleasure. We will also have
our famous silent auction, so don't miss it! There will be discounted
tickets for TCSC members...so, why not join now??? For

Whisky Tasting Benefit
6:00 PM on Saturday February 25th
at the Minnesota Transportation Museum, located at 193 Pennsylvania
Ave. East in St. Paul. We encourage everyone to get there early
to tour the facility.
Our Whisky Wench, Fiona MacNeill
will be leading us on a tour. This event will deal with Whisky in
Popular Culture and Fiona has selected four Scotches that have appeared
prominently in print and movies over the years. While this is a
different kind of tour, it should prove very entertaining and
informative, and Tasty!
We are also happy to announce
that we are expanding the tasting to include a professional cigar
roller. Maria Caram Ibarra will be joining us to show us how
hand-rolled cigars are created. She will be demonstrating both
before the tasting starts and during our break during the event.
All of the cigars rolled that night will be for sale at $10.00 per
cigar.
Cost will be $30.00 for the event. All
proceeds benefit the Scottish American Center and the Minnesota
Scottish Fair and Highland Games. For
